Welcome to another Shout Out Sunday
Today’s featured author is Alora Kate.
“I hear voices in my head and I love that it’s totally okay.”
There are many reasons why she chooses to use a Pen Name. She battled with the idea but in the end, it’s a dedication. Alora Kate is a dedication to someone special who left this world way too soon.
She doesn’t write to get rich, or famous. She does it because she loves it. If only ten people bought her book and loved it, then it was worth her time to write it. She loves to share her crazy world and characters with you.
She is a single mom of a very active 4yr old. He is her whole world, and life wasn’t complete until he came along. She is also a full-time college student studying photography and graphic design.
Alora is the author of the Four Seasons and the Aster Lake series.
Her latest novel, The Price We Pay has just gone live.
Genre: Romance Suspense
Jaxon and Latch, two undercover agents, are determined to bring down an infamous MC club known for sex trafficking, drugs, and violence. The lives of thirteen people intertwine in ways none of them would ever imagine, and life will never return to what it once was. Dangerous situations wait for everyone involved. Who will live, and who will pay the ultimate price?
Ask Me Anything
1. What inspired you to write The Price We Pay?
It started years ago and I didn’t even know it. I have a file with thirteen names/stories and ideas in it and one day this year, I was looking through my stack of files/stories that I’ve started over the years and those thirteen characters jumped out and demanded that I write their story. All of their stories. I started writing and didn’t stop until it was done.
2. Of all the Heroes in your books, if you had to pick one which one is your favourite, and why?
I’m afraid if I pick one the others would get upset, Lol. I love them all for different reasons. There’s a little of me in all of them.
3. What’s your worst vice?
Sunflower seeds! I’m so addicted to them.
4. What achievement are you most proud of?
Raising my son on my own, going to college and following my dreams.
5. As a single mum who attends college and has several jobs, when on earth do you find time to write?
I don’t have a writing schedule but I book 2 editing appointments with my editor and have the book done by then. I mainly write at night when my son is sleeping or when he stays with grandma for a night, I write a lot then also.
6. So what’s next, writing wise?
My next book is due out in January. The cover and blurb is done, and the book is like 80% finished already. It’s another book I started years ago and just now finishing up. No one knew how the story would end, and now that I’m back to writing it again, I understand why it had taken so many years to write. It’s New Adult Contemporary and hopefully makes people cry. 🙂
